Lily Amirtham, an amateur painter whose painting stands out for their freshness. She started painting at retirement and developed a style in watercolour through self study. Her paintings are an attempt to capture the beauty of nature especially, of flowers like lilies, roses, poppies and tulips. She lives in Parassala in Kerala state and is a retired professor of Lady Doak College at Madurai.
