Adoor Moutatthu Gopalakrishnan Unnithan, popularly known as Adoor Gopalakrishnan is an Indian film maker who has earned worldwide recognition for his films. He was born at Adoor in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India on July 3, 1941. He is also credited with pioneering the Film Society Movement in Kerala.
