Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshesdji Manekshaw, MC (1914 – 2008) is one of the legendry hero in the history of India. He was the Chief of Indian Army during India-Pak War in 1973.

Besides he was the first India-born Field Marshal and the 8th Chief of staff of the Indian army. Showering their special affection and respect on the great hero, Indians called him 'Sam Bahadur'.
