Kalbelia- Traditional Dance of Rajasthan

Kalbelia, a traditional dance form of Kalbelia tribe in Rajasthan state of India is featured in this video. The main and age-old occupation of this tribe is catching snakes and trading snake venom in near by areas. Hence the dance movements and the costumes are similar to that of the snakes. The Kalbelia dance, performed to celebrate the joyful moment in Kalbelia community, is an essential part of their culture.
