Kailashanathar Temple at Kanchipuram, the city of temples, is one of the earliest temples in South India. This Shiva temple is the oldest one in Kanchipuram and its edifice has been elaborately decorated with all the 64 aspects of Lord Shiva. The temple was built by the Pallava ruler Rajasimha at Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu state.
