Dill

Botanical name - Anethum graveolens
Family - Umbeliferae

An erect umbelliferous, hardy annual of the parsley family, growing to 1 m (3 ft) tall.

Dill is a lovely herb that adds a refreshing flavor to any recipe. To brew a stomach-soothing tea, use two teaspoons of mashed seeds per cup of boiling water.

Both seeds and leaves are edible. It was known as a medicinal herb since ancient times where soldiers placed burned dill seeds on their wounds to promote healing.
