The word Yoga comes from the Indian language Sanskrit word Yuj meaning to unite. It is believed to be originated in India in BC 300-200, during the period of Indus Valley Civilization. In these video clips we present the performance of exercises called Asanas or Yoga postures as can be seen in any other Yoga DVD. But Yoga is not just a set of physical exercises or certain principles of renunciation of worldly life. It is a science which needs in depth study, for a proper understanding. The basic objective of Yoga is to achieve a unity between mind and body. This harmony leads to a disease free world. The classical text of Yoga is Yogasutra, by Patanjali, the ancient Indian sage, compiled between AD 400-500.
