Sarvajnapeedom

Sarvajnapeedom (the seat of complete wisdom) is the place where once Adi Sankara (Sankaracharya) had meditated. It is located at Kudajadri hills, an enchanting mountain which overlooks the Western Ghats.

Adi Sri Shakti Mookambika Temple on the top of the mountain is believed to be the real abode of Devi (Sri Kollur Mookambika) from where Adi Sankara re-established it on the foothills at Kollur in Shimoga district in Karnataka state, India.

The surrounding hills, the view of clouds, the thick greenery and the cool breeze atop of the hill attract many travelers. Sankaracharya, the great Indian philosopher, is the master who consolidated the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta (non-dualism), in Hindu philosophy.
