J. P. Das, Oriya poet

Jagannath Prasad Das also known as J. P. Das is a notable poetic voice which emerged in Oriya literature or Indian poetry. A poet, painter, dramatist, actor, short story writer, novelist, translator and critic Das’s talents span several decades.

His contributions to Indian literature are Pratham Purush and Ahanik - a collection of poems, Suryasta Purbaru - a play, Puri paintings – a research on Pata Paintings of Orissa, Interview – a short story and Desha Kala Patra – a novel.
