The storehouse of Jain culture

The Jain museum and art gallery is a must-see for the visitors to Khajuraho, the temple town in Madhya Pradesh. With three major Jain temples, Khajuraho has a prominent role to play in the history of Jainism in India.

It is a modern circular art gallery where statues of 24 Jain Tirthankaras are exhibited. This museum is open to the west of Parsvanatha Temple, a prominent Jain temple of Khajuraho.

One hundred sculptures of the ruined Khjauraho shrines are also displayed here in the open with a boundary wall around them.
