Slumdog bags 8 Oscars including best director and best picture

Slumdog Millionaire took two of the top prizes at the 81st Annual Academy Awards, winning best picture and best director for Danny Boyle. Accepting the award during Sunday's ceremony, Boyle hopped with joy at the podium, and explained his reasons in his speech. Slumdog's Producer Christian Colson took the chance during his speech to thank everyone that participated in the film that almost was released as a straight-to-DVD film.
