Crescent Moon Pose

Sit in Vajrasana. Then rise upon the knees and bring the right foot flat on to the floor in front of your body.

Look straight. Bring the palms together at the chest level in a prayer position. After gaining balance in this position, stretch the arms up slowly over the head and arch back the body as well as the arms. Keep your palms close together and the arms parallel to your ears. Remain in the position for a while and repeat the same with the other leg.

This asana gives a good stretch to the hips, thighs and legs. It also improves the power of concentration.

Effect : Increases your health by improving the elasticity of the spine due to the twist. Spleen, kidney and bowels are stimulated.
