About 'Craft in Golden Fibre from West Bengal'

It is the beauty of jute craft tradition from West Bengal in the Surajkund Crafts Mela. The fair is held at Surajkund, which is located to the Delhi- Haryana border in Haryana state in India. This grand fair is an opportunity to see and buy crafts from all over the country.

Jute handicrafts of India have created its own position in all over the world. West Bengal is the largest Jute producing state in the country.

This natural fibre is also known as the golden fibre and is the cheapest of all the natural fibres. It is used extensively in the manufacture of various products like jute-blended carpets, decorative tapestries, garden pot hangings, decorative hand bags and bedspreads.
