Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis) is a succulent plant which has several medicinal properties. It is a short stemmed plant in which the leaves are thick and fleshy. The plant is around 60-100 cm long and is seen in abundance in Kerala.

Featured in this video is an organic farm in Mararikulam, Kerala where many medicinal plants are cultivated under the initiative of the state government. Aloe Vera, being a valuable medicinal plant is used both internally and externally as a cure for various diseases.
