How to Make Pal Payasam for Onam Sadya - Kerala Sadya Recipes

Ingredients for Pal Payasam

Milk - 3 litres
Dried red rice - 150 g (broken)
Sugar - 700 g

Method of preparation
This delicious dessert is made by first boiling the milk. When it boils, add the washed, broken red-rice into it. Add sugar and mix well. Allow to simmer in medium flame. Cook till the rice is done. Serve hot. The pal payasam will have a light pink colour.
