Bindra meets President and Vice-President

India’s Olympic hero returned home to a rousing welcome. He has had audience with the President Prathibha Patil and Vice-President Hamid Ansari in New Delhi. The Vice-President told reporters after the meeting that Bindra’s success would inspire more people to make a national effort to win more medals at the next Olympics. Bindra himself hoped the India would accord priority to sports and make it a sporting nation.
