Parsvottanasana

Parsva means side. Uttana is to stretch. Stand in Tadasana. Inhale deeply. Join the palms behind the body by drawing your shoulders and elbows back. Exhale and twist up your palms in a prayer position at the back.

Inhale and with a jump spread your legs. Exhale. Inhale and twist your trunk to the right.  Turn your right foot also 900 to the same side. Then throw the head back.

Exhale and bend the trunk forward until your head rests on your right knee. Tighten the legs by pulling the kneecaps up. Breathe normally and remain in this position for twenty seconds.

Repeat the procedure on the other side. Parsvottanasana is good for your health.
