An annual with branched, hairy, erect look growing up to 1.5m. Poultice of the leaves is applied on boils. With asafetida and rock salt the roots are given in facial paralysis and stiff neck. For rheumatism and elephantiasis leaf juice mixed with Palmyra palm juice is locally applied. Leaf juice applied as sedative for wounds and ulcers.
