Gogamedi Fair, held in the Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, is an annual fair famous for the sale of livestock, village crop, and handicrafts. One of the largest fairs in the country, attended by many foreign tourists as well, it is celebrated in commemoration of a regional hero known as Gogaji.

Gogaji - Goga Veer to the Hindus and Jahr Peer to the Muslims – was believed to have been a man with supernatural powers over snakes, a Snake God. Every village in Rajasthan has a temple in his name. The villagers believe that snake bites can be treated by chanting his name and praying to him.

Apart from the stalls, the fair has music and dance events. For the villagers, it is also a good opportunity for match making for the young men and women.
