Misa Mach Poora or Grilled Shrimps
Gourmets and foodies are always on the look-out for good recipes for the expensive but popular shrimp. Check this special Indian sea food.
3 cups of shelled and de-veined shrimp
1 onion, cut into small pieces
1 tsp of ground coriander
1 tbsp of mustard oil
1 tsp of turmeric powder
2 tsp of lime juice
Salt to taste
Rub salt and turmeric powder on the shelled shrimps. Keep aside. To half a cup of water in a medium-sized pan, add the coriander and peppercorns, and bring the water to boil. Add the shrimps and cook for exactly 2 minutes. Drain the water and add the oil. Transfer the shrimps into a shallow flame-proof dish or a greased banana leaf. Spread the shrimps over the surface and grill or roast on an open charcoal fire with the shrimp in wrapped banana leaves.
Before serving, pour the lemon juice on top of the shrimps. Serve hot with boiled rice.
