Halasana

Hala means plough. A person in this posture resembles a plough. Halasana is usually done as a part of Sarvangasana.

From the Sarvangasana position, exhale and lower both the legs over and beyond the head. When you feel the toes touching ground you can place the hands flat on the floor behind your back.

Breathe gently and remain in the position for at least thirty seconds.

Effect: Improves blood circulation. Health problems related to indigestion and constipation are relieved. Muscles in the shoulders and cervical region are strengthened.
