A small bulbous plant. Onion juice can be applied for skin ailments and insect bites. For chilblain onion is made into a paste with salt and applied. Poultice of roasted bulb is applied over boils, wounds, broken chilblains. Onion juice with mustard oil is applied on inflammatory swellings and skin diseases.
