PrakrutiThe universe was formed as the result of the transformation of Prakruti (nature), in other words the primal substance. Prakruti is infinite, attributeless and undifferentiated. It can neither be perceived nor conceived. It can only be inferred and therefore it is called avyakta which literally means ‘the unmanifest’.
