Beef Chikki Varuthathu is one of the tasty Malabari food items of Kerala, which can be easily made at home. Shown here is the recipe and preparation video of Beef Chikki Varuthathu – a Malabar Cuisine.

Ingredients

Red chilli powder – 1tsp
Salt - to taste
Coconut oil
Shallots – 100 g
Ginger – 1 tsp
Garlic – 3 tsp
Curry leaves – 2 pinches
Cinnamon and clove leaves – 10 g
Red chilli – 4 nos
Vinegar
Beef – 300 g

How to prepare Beef Chikki Varuthathu?

Take a pan and heat some oil. Put some cinnamon, clove leaves, red chillies and saute them. And add to this chopped piece of ginger, garlic and curry leaves. Stir well and saute. Next add some shallot and saute till the shallots get golden brown. Put some red chilli powder and stir well. Add to this the finely shredded beef and stir well. Finally some vinegar, red chilli powder and salt to wind up things and stir well.

And now taste this crispy beef dish.
