India celebrated independence day

One can imagine the strong feelings of anger and anguish these words of an important personage from England, defaming and describing in vulgarly sarcastic words the ‘Mahatma’ of India, could create in the minds of the Indians. The whole of India was burning in a feeling of moral indignation. 

The Indian Independence Day was celebrated on January 26, 1931 with an unforeseen enthusiasm. The reiterated their unflinching faith in the great leadership of Mahatma Gandhi and pledged to strengthen the struggle for freedom of India. 

During these days of struggle, India lost some of their great leaders. Tilak, C R Das, Lajpat Ray, Ajmal Khan, Mohamed Ali, and Motilal Nehru – one by one they passed away leaving Gandhi and his younger friends to carry on with the fight for freedom.
