The Phyang Tsedung festival is celebrated at the ancient Phyang monastery, in Dringungpa, Ladakh. It is a Buddhist festival celebrated with much pomp and gaiety all over Jammu, sometime in July-August.

The core ceremony of the festival is a dance drama performed by Buddhist Lamas in colourful costumes and masks, known as Chhams.

Another integral part of the festival is the worship at the Thankha of Skyabje Jigten Gombo, the founder of the Dringumpa monastic dynasty. The colossal Thankha is the most renowned one at Jammu. Devotees from all over the world visit it to pay homage to the great soul.

An exhibition, displaying numerous important articles of Buddhism, is also held during the festival.
